What is ThetaHealing®?
Theta Healing ® is a world renowned healing method that was created in 1995 by Vianna Stibal during her personal journey after she healed herself from a leg tumour.
This is a training method for your mind, body and spirit that allows you to clear limiting beliefs and live life with positive thoughts, developing virtues in all that you do. Through meditation and prayer, the ThetaHealing Technique creates a positive lifestyle.
During a Theta Healing session we look at your limiting beliefs and transform them into positive affirmations. We activate your own healing powers and change the way your old negative habits and beliefs affected your life in the past in order to create a new positive outlook and your past, present and future. You will enhance your life and strengthen your intuition while up levelling your belief system.
The ThetaHealing technique is a meditation technique and spiritual philosophy - not specific to one religion but accepting them all - with the purpose of getting closer to the Creator. It is a training method for your mind, body and spirit that allows you to clear limiting beliefs and live life with positive thoughts, developing virtues in all that you do. Through meditation and prayer, the ThetaHealing Technique creates a positive lifestyle.
The ThetaHealing technique is always taught to be used in conjunction with conventional medicine. It teaches how to put to use one's own natural intuition, relying upon the unconditional love of the creator of all that is to do the actual “work.” We believe by changing your brain wave cycle to include the “Theta” state, you can actually watch the Creator Of All That Is create instantaneous physical and emotional well-being. We have learned that through the ThetaHealing Technique intuitive abilities can be used to bring about spontaneous physical and emotional well-being.
What is a theta brain wave?
During my meditation teacher diploma studies, I learned a lot about the types of different brain waves we have. Your brain produces five different kinds of brain waves and each of which operates at a different speed. The five different types of brain waves include alpha, beta, gamma, delta and theta.
Theta brain waves occur when you’re sleeping or dreaming but they don’t occur during the deepest phases of sleep. They may occur when you’re drifting off to sleep or suspended in that light phase of sleep, just before you wake up.
Theta brain waves can also occur when you’re awake but in a very deeply relaxed state of mind; a state that some may describe as being on autopilot. However, if you experience high levels of theta waves while you’re awake, you might feel a little sluggish or scattered. Experts believe that theta waves are important for processing information and making memories which is why we are working in the theta brain wave to up-level your belief system and rewrite any negative beliefs that are holding you back from living a live full of abundant possibilities.
What can I expect during a ThetaHealing® session?
Each practitioner has his or her own style. In general, an appointment begins with the practitioner asking permission to connect to your energy. Then you will be asked what it is you would like to work on. Or, if you have nothing specific to work on, you might be asked, “If you could change anything in your life right now, what would it be?”
The ThetaHealing technique has been used to address a wide variety of physical and emotional issues. A typical appointment includes an intuitive scan, belief work, and healing. The practitioner will probably teach you to use a muscle test, to see what beliefs you have that may trigger the area you are seeking to change. Nothing is changed without your permission. And the practitioner should ask your verbal permission for every belief change and for any healing that is done.
How many sessions will I need with ThetaHealing®?
A lot of work can be covered in a short amount of time with the ThetaHealing technique. The number of sessions needed will vary from person to person on what they want to accomplish. Many times clients will experience a shift within one session, however, sometimes the belief systems around the issue are more complex and need deeper belief work done over a few sessions to achieve their desired change. Determining how many sessions you will need ahead of time would really depend on the negative subconscious belief systems attached to your issue and how fast they reprogram into positive and empowering ones.
How can I prepare myself for a ThetaHealing® session?
Make sure you are not disturbed during our time together. Make yourself comfortable and reduce any outside noise. I recommend muting your phone or any electrical devices so you can stay fully present during our time together. The important thing is to focus on yourself and give yourself the time and space you need to enjoy this powerful healing session and get the best out of it. It’s good to have a cup of tea or a glass of water next to you. Make sure you sit comfortably in your chair or on your couch. I recommend drinking plenty of water before and after the session; it’s important to be fully hydrated as we do some deep inner healing work. Water can help us to stay fluid, focused and hydrated. I start each session with a prayer and short meditation to ground ourselves and set the tone for our wonderful time together. I also recommend having some time for yourself after the session. Clear your schedule for a few hours so that the healing can integrate fully and anchor in your body, mind and soul.
Self-acceptance and ThetaHealing®
Love yourself through the good and the bad. Learn to accept and appreciate yourself for who you are. No matter your imperfections, flaws, habit habits or even addictions, you are worthy of love. You were created through love and it is possible to come out of disappointment, hardship and failure when you learn from your mistakes and move on. Carrying guilt and shame from past events can block us and our happiness on so many levels. Mentally, physically and spiritually. It can become exhausting and overwhelming if we don’t learn to forgive ourselves and accept the beauty of imperfection and failure. We often try to numb our feelings by becoming addicted to something or being stuck on the victim mentality of a past event, situation or trauma.
Using healing techniques such as Theta Healing can help us reprogram our entire systems and help heal our old core wounds and deep seeded negative beliefs.
